Thrush placed fourth overall, and second among attached entries, on Saturday, as the Vulcans competed at the Bill Lennox Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock. He crossed the finish line with a time of 25 minutes, 38 seconds in the eight-kilometer race at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds. Thrush posted a pace time of 5:09 while finishing behind only the defending-regional champion and a pair of unattached NCAA Division I runners in a field of nearly 85 runners.
