McKan nearly equaled his rushing total from last year in the season-opener on Thursday night, as California earned a 35-15 win versus Fairmont State at Adamson Stadium. He finished with 152 rushing yards on 24 attempts with one touchdown in the victory. McKan, who totaled 159 rushing yards in 2021, became the first player to eclipse 100 rushing yards in a game since Week 11 of the 2019 campaign.
