Alston averaged 17.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game while leading the Vulcans to the finals of the NCAA Atlantic Regional Tournament. He recorded a double-double in all three games, as the program returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008. Alston scored 29 points on 10-of-20 from the floor and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line and added 15 rebounds on Saturday against No. 23 Fairmont State. The following day, the Ohio native tallied 12 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in the second round versus West Virginia State. Alston finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks on Tuesday in the Atlantic Regional Championship at No. 3 IUP.
