Franklin reached the NCAA provisional standard in the 60-meter dash on Friday while opening the season at the Youngstown State Icebreaker. She posted the fourth-fastest time in NCAA Division II this year by crossing the finish line in 7.58 seconds in both the preliminaries and finals. Franklin placed second in both heats behind the winner from the host Penguins. The Philadelphia native also qualified for the PSAC Championships in the 200-meter dash while in Ohio with a time of 25.65 seconds, which was the fastest mark by any non-NCAA Division I entry.
