Gheorghita set numerous personal bests over the weekend while qualifying for the PSAC Championships in three individual events while at the Magnus Cup hosted by Cleveland State. She shattered her personal record in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1 minute, 0.06 seconds as the leadoff leg on the 400 medley relay. Gheorghita reached the league-qualifying mark in the 100 butterfly after touching the wall in a personal record of 1:00.63 while in Ohio. The Ontario native also posted a PSAC-qualifying time in the 50 freestyle with a personal-best time of 25.60 seconds. Gheorghita was also a member of all five relay teams at the Magnus Cup and every relay established season-best marks over the weekend.
