Alfieri earned medalist honors and helped the Vulcans capture the title at the Mercyhurst Invitational by just one stroke on Sunday. He shot an even-par 144 (73-71) while at the Lake View Country Club to win the event by four strokes. Alfieri was the only golfer in the field to card a round under par, as he fired a one-under 71 in the final round. He became the first Cal U freshman to win a tournament since 2014, as Cal U claimed its first invitational title since April 2018.
