Chandler Daniel

With experience at the high school and college level, plus in the private sector, Chandler Daniel enters his first year serving as assistant strength & conditioning coach at Cal U.

Daniel '19 spent 18 months as the head strength & conditioning coach at Brooke High School in West Virginia through the fitness company Pro Performance RX. He also served as a personal and group trainer at Pro Performance RX in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Daniel was responsible for creating and implementing preseason, in-season and off-season programming for all 12 varsity teams and the 200 student-athletes at Brooke High School, which is located in northern panhandle of West Virginia. He tracked and assessed progress of the athletes, while performing facility maintenance and management through scheduling of all the teams.

In addition, Daniel provided training at the headquarters of Pro Performance Rx at Mylan Park. He supervised personal and group training of various high school and collegiate athletes at the facility.

While a graduate assistant at Cal U, Daniel assisted with the training of multiple intercollegiate teams and created an off-season and pre-season program for the men's soccer program. He served as a liaison between the staffs of strength & conditioning and athletic training to aid in the modifying and creating programs for injured student-athletes, as well as implementing exercises to help with injury prevention.

Daniel earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Duquesne in 2018. The following year, he completed his master's degree from Cal U in exercise science and health promotion with a concentration in performance enhancement and injury prevention.

A native of Hermine, Pennsylvania, Daniel played both offensive line and defensive line for the Dukes from 2014-17. Duquesne captured the program's first-ever outright NEC Championship in 2015 and advanced to the second round of the FCS Playoffs. The following year, the Dukes posted a consecutive eight-win campaign and earned a share of the league title.

Daniel is currently a certified athletic trainer and holds certification in Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Speed Agility Quickness (SAQ).
