Renata da Silva

Following her All-American playing career with the Vulcans, Renata da Silva joins the California University of Pennsylvania coaching staff in 2010 as a volunteer assistant.

da Silva was the setter for Cal U on three-straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship teams from 2007-09. In each of her last two seasons, she led the PSAC in assists en route to establishing a new all-time school record with 5,507 assists.

A native of Brazil, da Silva was the program’s first-ever American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American as a sophomore before earning the honor in both of her last two seasons. Last year, she also was the first volleyball player in school history to be selected an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American.

da Silva graduated in May 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in international business and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration.
