Allie Brinkhoff

A former NCAA Division I swimmer at Toledo, Allie Brinkhoff enters her first season as assistant coach at Cal U in 2018-19.
 
Brinkhoff was a four-year swimmer at Toledo and a two-time team captain. She competed in the backstroke, individual medley and freestyle while being a two-time Mid-American Conference (MAC) All-Academic honoree. She recorded 29 top-five finishes in her career, including a career-high 17 during the 2015-16 campaign. Brinkhoff ranks fifth on the all-time performance list at Toledo in the 100 individual medley with a time of 1 minute, 2.43 seconds. She competed under head coach Jonas Persson for two seasons, who was a member of the Swedish national team and participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
 
Brinkhoff achieved MAC All-Academic honors twice in her collegiate career, which is awarded to student-athletes who excelled in athletics and have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point-average (GPA).
 
A Bethel Park product, Brinkhoff was a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and a state qualifier in the 200 individual medley. She also placed in the top four at the WPIAL Championships in the 200 individual medley and the top six in the 100 backstroke.
 
Brinkhoff returned to the Pittsburgh area in the summers and worked at the Mt. Lebanon Outdoor Swim Center. She assisted with the implementation of facility upgrades, while providing safety education and first aid to new swimmers. In 2015, Brinkhoff served as a coach for Bethel Park Recreation Swim Team, supervising full-practice schedules for 80 swimmers.
 
Brinkhoff earned her bachelor's degree in speech pathology this May from Toledo and is currently pursuing her master's degree from Cal U in communication disorders.
