A former distance runner for the Vulcans, Laurie Hall enters her first season as a graduate assistant with the cross country program in 2012.
Hall competed on cross country and track & field teams at Cal U from 2007-11. While with the cross country program, she ran in four PSAC Championships and four NCAA Regional Championship races. As a junior, Hall helped the program record the best team finish at the NCAA Regional Championship in two decades.
In track & field, she was a 10-time qualifier in five events for the PSAC Championships. Hall set the school record in the 1-mile run as a junior with a time of 5:11.92 and last spring was a member of the distance medley relay that broke the school record.
Last year, Hall became one of the first two women’s cross country/track & field Academic All-Americans in program history. She was a two-time academic all-district selection by CoSIDA and was a five-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete in her career.
A native of Jackson, Pa., Hall earned her bachelor’s degree from Cal U in justice studies with a minor and political science. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in social work.
