Jason Rhine joins the Cal U coaching staff as a graduate assistant for the 2012-13 season after coaching one year as an assistant at Keystone (Pa.).

Last season, Rhine served on the coaching staff of the women’s basketball program at Keystone, a NCAA Division III program in La Plume, Pa. He worked under current Slippery Rock assistant Katie Tetzlaw, as the Giants posted their winningest season since joining the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) in 2008-09.
Rhine also played semi-professional basketball in the Eastern Basketball Alliance (EBA), which is based out of Harrisburg. He then played two seasons at Keystone from 2008-10 before transitioning to coaching.
While in high school, Rhine was a member of district and state playoff teams.
A native of Palmyra, Pa., Rhine earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in leadership from Keystone in 2012. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport management with a concentration in intercollegiate athletic administration from Cal U.
