Following his four-year playing career, Brian Braithwaite enters his first season with the Vulcans as a graduate assistant in 2009.
Braithwaite was a three-year starter at California University of Pennsylvania and played in 80 career games with 67 starts. In his career, he totaled seven goals and six assists for 20 points.
As a freshman in 2005, he scored four goals as Cal U won its third Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) regular-season title in five years.
Last year, Braithwaite started all 23 games for the Vulcans and helped lead the program to its first-ever PSAC Tournament Championship and its second NCAA Tournament appearance.
A native of Pittsburgh, Braithwaite was a four-year letterman in soccer at Chartiers Valley High School and earned all-section and All-WPIAL honors.
Braithwaite earned his undergraduate degree in Sport Management and was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete and member of the Cal U AD Honor Roll during his collegiate playing career.
