A former collegiate golfer, David Paladino begins his second year as assistant coach at California (PA) in the 2024-25 season.
Paladino was four-year golfer at Westminster (PA), a NCAA Division III program, from 2010-14. As a freshman, he earned All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Second-Team honors with a top-10 finish at the league championships held at the Oak Tree Country Club. Paladino later was a leading team scorer at the PAC Championships in his last two seasons after the 2012 event was cancelled due to weather.
Last spring, Paladino joined the coaching staff and worked with an All-PSAC selection on both the men’s and women’s teams. Reese Watson qualified as individual for the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championships and carded one of the program’s lowest single-season scoring averages in the last 15 years. On the women’s side, Keegan Selinsky repeated as an All-PSAC honoree after trimming nearly two strokes off her previous career-best scoring average.
Paladino serves as a golf instructor at Cool Springs Golf Center in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, plus is a caddy at the Oakmont Country Club. He previously was a client solutions director at Robert Half for seven years and also had professional experience with The Princeton Review and PNC Financial Services.
A native of Finleyville, Pennsylvania, Paladino earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in economics from Westminster in 2014.
