A former 1,000-point scorer at conference-rival Clarion University, Terrance Vaughns enters his second season as a graduate assistant coach with the California University of Pennsylvania men’s basketball team.
Vaughns was a two-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West performer for the Golden Eagles and helped lead Clarion to a share of the 2005 PSAC West regular season title. He finished his career ranked 12th in school history with 1,320 points and set a school career record with an .866 free-throw percentage, which ranks fourth in league history.
A native of Uniontown, Pa., he led Uniontown High School to a WPIAL and Western Pennsylvania title in 2002. Vaughns was a first-team all-state and all-WPIAL selection with the Red Raiders. He finished his scholastic career with 1,721 career points.
