Larry Wilson enters his sixth year at Cal U as the wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator and has coached several All-PSAC West receivers and specialists.

Last year, he coached a pair of 1,000-yard wide receivers in A.J. Jackson and Terrance Moore. Jackson ranked second in the country in both receptions and receiving yards, while he also set the single-season school record for touchdown receptions.

Wilson also tutored one of the top special team units in the nation in 2009, as the Vulcans ranked among the Top 20 in Division II in kickoff returns. In his first year handling return duties, Chedrick Cherry ranked sixth in the country in kickoff returns.

In 2007, he coached a pair of All-America specialists in kicker Tyler Lorenz and punter Jace Amore. Lorenz, who earned AP All-America honors, finished second in the country in field goals per game. Amore received Daktronics All-America accolades.

Prior to his time with the Vulcans, Wilson was no stranger to the PSAC as he played three seasons at conference-rival Slippery Rock.

He graduated from Slippery Rock in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. Wilson is currently pursing a master’s degree in arts of teaching at California.

Wilson and his wife Kristin live in North Huntingdon, Pa., with their son, Cooper.
