D’Monn Baker enters his second season the Vulcans’ coaching staff in 2008, serving as the tight ends coach. Baker, a former two-year starter at tight end at California University of Pennsylvania, has been a part of three-straight PSAC West championship teams.
As a junior in 2006, he earned second-team PSAC West All-Star accolades after scoring two touchdowns on 10 receptions for 116 yards. He also served as a blocker for former All-American running back Antoine Bagwell.
Prior to attending Cal, Baker earned two letters at Bowling Green State University, a Division I program in Ohio. In his two years at Bowling Green, the Falcons compiled a 17-6 record under head coach Urban Meyer, who eventually won the 2006 National Championship at the University of Florida.
Following his senior season, Baker played for Team USA, which won the gold medal in Japan at the 2007 World Championship.
