LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (Sept. 15) – Following a scoreless first half, the Vulcans allowed a pair of goals off corner kicks in a 2-0 loss at Lock Haven on Sunday afternoon to open Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.
NOTES
• California (1-1-1, 0-1) was playing its first league game against Lock Haven (1-2-1, 1-0) since the 2018 season.
• The Bald Eagles rejoined the PSAC West in men's soccer this fall after previously playing in the PSAC East when the league reverted to a two-division format in 2019.
• The Vulcans threatened to take the lead in the 24th minute before the Bald Eagles saved a penalty kick.
• Lock Haven scored the game-winning goal at the 48:55-mark following a corner kick.
• Cal was issued a red card less than 30 seconds later and played the final 40-plus minutes down a player.
• The Bald Eagles again converted a goal following a corner kick in the 50th minute to take a 2-0 lead.

AJ Visco made one save in his season debut.
