WASHINGTON, Pa. (March 27) – Despite utilizing a vastly different lineup, the California (PA) baseball team extended its winning streak to eight games with a 6-4 victory over Walsh (Ohio) at Wild Things Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Josh Bryson registered the first save of his career, retiring the Cavaliers in order in the top of the ninth.
ACTION
• Walsh capitalized on a throwing error in the second and scored a pair of unearned runs before Cal scored in the bottom half on a sacrifice fly, 2-1.
• The Cavaliers extended the lead back to multiple runs in the third on an RBI ground-out with runners on the corners.
• Cal tied the score at 3-3 in the fifth after McTighe delivered an RBI double and then scored on an RBI single by Callahan, both with two outs.
• Fiori led off the sixth with a homer, his first of the season before senior right fielder
Colby Rockacy later collected a two-out RBI double, 5-3.
• The Cavaliers cut the deficit to 5-4 on a sacrifice fly in the seventh before straining the game-tying run at third base.
• Cal added an insurance run in the bottom of the inning on a sacrifice fly by Fiori.
