• Behind four touchdown passes by sophomore

• The Vulcans won all nine meetings against the Golden Knights before last year when Gannon posted a 29-15 win at Adamson Stadium on Homecoming. Cal U has scored at least 34 points in all five road meetings in the series.
• A 13-year veteran of the program,
Brad Rzyczycki is in his eighth season as head coach at Gannon. He has posted a 37-45 overall record with the Golden Knights and led the program to a share of the PSAC West title in 2014, while tying the school record for wins in a season. Rzyczycki served as the defensive coordinator at Gannon for five years before being appointed head coach in 2012.
• Gannon enters play having lost four of its last five games, including the last two weeks by a combined five points. The Golden Knights feature a new offensive coordinator this season while returning sophomore quarterback
Jimmy Keefe. He has posted a pair of 300-yard passing games over the last three weeks and tied a school record with five touchdown passes on only 11 completions against Clarion. Senior wide receiver
Joey Cox leads the team with 432 receiving yards behind a pair of 100-yard games over the last three weeks. Cox also paces Gannon with 26 receptions and a career-high five touchdowns this season. In addition to Cox, six different players have made at least one touchdown reception in 2019. Sophomore

• Last week, sophomore
Derrick Caraway became the first player with three receiving touchdowns in a game since
Garry Brown in Week 9 of the 2016 season. Caraway set a career high with six receptions for 47 yards against Clarion. He entered the game with only two touchdowns in 14 career games and has already eclipsed his reception and yardage total from last season.
• The Vulcans lead NCAA Division II and rank second among
all NCAA divisions this season in rushing defense, allowing just 32.5 yards per game. Cal U has yielded a combined 195 rushing yards and just one touchdown on 152 carries this season. Brockport (N.Y.), a NCAA Division III program, leads the entire country in rushing defense at 24.3 yards per game.
• Former Cal U standout
Craig McCorkle was selected by the Seattle Dragons in Phase 2 (offensive line) of the XFL Draft this week. He started 30 games for the Vulcans from 2016-18 and was a three-time All-PSAC West selection. Last season, McCorkle was named a Second-Team All-American by multiple organizations. He was one of four former PSAC players chosen in the XFL Draft.

• Last week, redshirt freshman linebacker
Noah Dillow set a career high with 11 tackles, plus recorded 1.0 TFL and one pass break-up, against Clarion. He then became the second Cal U player this season to be named the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday. • The Gannon coaching staff features a pair of former Cal U offensive linemen in
Zach Morehead and
Taylor Nikithser. Morehead, who was a three-year starter for the Vulcans, is in his third year on staff with the Golden Knights and serves as the offensive line coach. An AFCA All-American center, Nikithser joined the Gannon staff this year as the running backs coach after serving last season at Ohio Wesleyan.
• Redshirt senior linebacker
