Alicia Belko

A NCAA All-American at both the NCAA Division II and III levels, Alicia Belko enters her second year as a member of the Cal U track & field coaching staff. She served as a graduate assistant with the program last season before returning as a volunteer coach in 2019.

Belko was a standout for the Vulcans during the 2018 cross country season as a graduate transfer. She earned NCAA All-America status after capturing the individual title at both the PSAC Championships and NCAA Atlantic Region Championships. Belko helped the Vulcans earn a team qualifier to the NCAA National Championships for the third time in four years, as the program placed second at the regional meet after matching its best-ever finish at the league championships.

A native of New Jersey, Belko earned NCAA All-America honors at the NCAA Division III level while being a three-sport athlete at Stockton (N.J.), which is led by Jayson Resch who served as an assistant coach with the Vulcans from 2010-12. Belko started her career as a member of the field hockey and track & field teams for the Ospreys before competing in cross country starting in 2016.

Belko set a combined five school records (two individual) and captured six titles (four individual) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships. In 2017, she broke the school record and placed sixth overall in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10 minutes, 45.30 seconds at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Belko also became the first cross country runner in program history to earn NCAA All-America honors the following fall by placing 27th overall at the national meet.

Belko earned his bachelor’s degree in health sciences with a concentration in pre-physical therapy from Stockton in 2017. She recently finished her master’s degree from Cal U in exercise science with a concentration in performance enhancement and injury prevention, completing the program in December 2018.
