CALIFORNIA (Aug. 28) – Fans are encouraged to “Bring the Thunder” to Adamson Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 30, when the Vulcans host Hillsdale (Mich.) to open up the 2012 season. The contest will feature two of the top-25 teams in the country as both teams enter the season with high expectations.

It will be an evening for the entire family as there will inflatable bounce houses for kids, thunderstick giveaway for those in attendance, a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Scream, Student Activities Board giveaways, Dance For Your Dinner in-game promotion and a fireworks show approximately 20 minutes following the conclusion of the game.

The game will also mark the inaugural Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day. The Cal U Athletic Department would like to cordially invite all faculty and staff to the inaugural appreciation day. All faculty and staff will be admitted to the game free of charge with a valid Cal card.
