CALIFORNIA (Jan. 18) – The California University of Pennsylvania men's and women's basketball program will honor former players on Saturday, Jan. 28, when they host the annual Alumni Day.

The event will culminate with a basketball doubleheader against Mercyhurst at the Convocation Center with the game to broadcast live on Pittsburgh CW. The women's game will start at 3 p.m. with the men's contest to follow at approximately 5 p.m.

The Alumni Day activities will start with registration at the Convocation Center at 12 p.m. and the men's alumni game starting at 1 p.m. There will then be an alumni reception with remarks from head coaches Bill Brown and Jess Strom. During the reception, awards will be presented to the Alumni Game MVP and the Alumnus and Alumna of the Year.

Participants in the Alumni Game will receive a free souvenir t-shirt, admission to the reception (plus guest) and admission to the basketball doubleheader against Mercyhurst for $10. Additional game tickets can be purchased at the rates of $5 for adults and $3 for students, senior citizens and Cal U faculty/staff. Children ages 12 and under are free.

The Alumnus and Alumna of the Year, along with the Alumni Game MVP, will be recognized during halftime of the basketball doubleheader against Mercyhurst.
