MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (May 8) –Behind a win by graduate student
Christopher Clark (Hadley, Pa./Commodore Perry) in the 10,000-meter run, the Vulcans rank seventh in the team standings after two days of the 2009 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Millersville University.
Clark won the 10,000 meters with a NCAA Division II Championship automatic-qualifying time of 29 minutes, 41.47 seconds. He earned 10 points for the California University of Pennsylvania men's track & field team score after winning the event by over two-plus seconds.
Junior
Nate Payne (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) finished sixth overall in the long jump with a distance of 6.63 meters (21-09.00 feet).

Terrence Johnson (Braddock, Pa./Woodland Hills) and junior
Dennis Cole (Washington, Pa./Canon-McMillan) finished sixth in the preliminaries to advance to the finals of the event set for tomorrow, Saturday, May 9. The relay team crossed the finish line in 41.95 seconds to finish third in its heat.
Ehrensberger posted a second-place finish in the preliminaries of 400-meter dash with a time of 41.86 seconds. He was one of only two runners in the 18-member field to finish the preliminaries in less than 42 seconds. Ehrensberger also qualified for the finals of the 200-meter dash after posting a time of 21.77 seconds in the preliminaries.
In the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash, Cole crossed the finish line in 10.87 seconds to advance to tomorrow's final. Johnson placed 13th overall in the preliminaries of the 100 meters with a time of 11.03 seconds.
Freshman
Alex Smith (South Park, Pa./South Park) advanced to the finals of the 800-meter run after finishing fifth in the preliminaries with a time of 1:54.98. Senior
Tony Morinello (Plum, Pa./Plum) posted a time of 56.03 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles preliminaries to qualify for the event finals.
