PHILADELPHIA (April 25) – California University of Pennsylvania graduate student
Christopher Clark (Hadley, Pa./Commodore Perry) posted a second-place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the Penn Relays over the weekend, topping times set by dozens of Division I athletes.
Clark placed second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 13 minutes, 58.51 seconds. He crossed the finish line less than three-tenths of a second behind overall winner Jon Anderson of Army (13:58.23). Clark's time of 13:58.51 currently ranks eighth on NCAA Division II performance list.
Clark also anchored the Vulcans' distance relay team, which finished 23rd overall. The relay of graduate student

Frank Ehrensberger (Saint Marys, Pa./Elk County Catholic), freshman
Alex Smith (South Park, Pa./South Park) and Clark posted a time of 10:24.17.
The 4x400-meter relay team of junior
Terrence Johnson (Braddock, Pa./Woodland Hills) and sophomores
Rickie Watson (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville),
Tony Morinello (Plum, Pa./Plum) and
Nick Messina (Cheswick, Pa./Springdale) posted a time of 3:27.92.
The Cal U women's 4x100- and 4x400-meter relay teams also competed at the Penn Relays.
In the 4x400 relay, freshmen
Sandy Estep (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor),
Shakeria Love (York, Pa. / Central York),
Jerica Snedden (Carrolltown, Pa./Cambria Heights) and graduate student
Danielle Malay (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) finished the race in 3:56.93.
The same relay team of Love, Estep, Snedden and Malay finished the 4x100 relay in 51.53 seconds.
