Clark sets PSAC record at Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. (April 16) – California University of Pennsylvania graduate student Christopher Clark (Hadley, Pa./Commodore Perry) set a new school and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) all-time record in the 10,000-meter run late Thursday night at the 51st-annual Mt. San Antonio College (SAC) Relays.

Clark finished the race in 29 minutes, 3.10 seconds to finish seventh overall in the 26-runner field. His time breaks the 25-year old conference record held by Cal U Hall of Fame inductee Brian Ferrari by one-tenth of a second (29:03.20).

Clark narrowly missed the “A” standard for USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 10,000 meters, but improved his NCAA Division II-leading time.

Carlos Trujillo, a professional runner with the Eugene Running Company, won the race with a time of 28:52.26.

The Mt. SAC Relays are the biggest track & field meet on the West Coast and features runners from high school to professional athletes.
