EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (March 1) – Sophomore
Brice Myers (Erie, Pa./McDowell) finished second overall in the finals of the 55-meter hurdles in the second and final day of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships, where the California University of Pennsylvania men's track & field team finished in 11th place with 12 points.
Shippensburg University claimed the conference team championship with 134.0 points, edging out Lock Haven University (129.0). Host East Stroudsburg University finished third with 120 points while Slippery Rock University (91) and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (80) rounded out the top-five teams.
In the 55-meter hurdles, Myers posted the top time in yesterday's preliminaries at 7.61 seconds before finishing second in Sunday's final by the slimmest of margin. The sophomore crossed the finish line in 7.599 seconds, only five thousandths of a second behind the time of 7.594 posted by Russell Smith of East Stroudsburg.
Myers also competed in the triple jump and anchored the 4x400-meter relay team on Sunday. In the triple jump he placed ninth overall with a leap of 13.39 meters (43-11.25 feet).

Nick Messina (Cheswick, Pa./Springdale) and Myers finished eighth overall with a time of 3 minutes, 27.67 seconds.
Ehrensberger also ran in the finals of the 400-meter dash in the second day of the PSAC Championships after posting a time of 50.26 seconds in yesterday's preliminaries. In the finals, he placed sixth overall and second in his heat in 49.91 seconds.
Myers will now compete in two weeks at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships from March 13-14 in Houston, Texas.
