Michael Wilson was a dominate player for the men's basketball team from 1981 through 1985. He finished with 1,732 career points, which ranks him fourth on the school's all-time career scoring list.
A four-year starter who was the 1985 PSAC and ECAC Player of the Year as well as an All-American, Wilson led the Vulcans to the 1985 PSAC title, the team's first state title since 1970. In the PSAC title game, Wilson produced a 34-point, 15-rebound effort as Cal advanced to its first NCAA Division II national tournament. A player who possessed the rare ability to perform at his best in pressure situations, Wilson scored the final points in all of Cal's three PSAC playoff wins in 1985, including a game-winning dunk at Indiana in the first round. A three-time all-conference selection, Wilson was also named to the 1985 NCAA Division II East Regional All-Tournament Team and scored a career-high 42 points in a Vulcan home victory over Lincoln College.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and a graduate of Perry High School, Wilson has enjoyed a successful career playing professional basketball, and now plays in Argentina.
