Delmer Beshore was a basketball player from 1974 through 1978 and compiled 1,869 career points, including 679 points during the 1977-78 senior season. Both of those marks were school records at the time, and both of these stats currently rank second in the school's record books. Beshore also dished out a PSAC record 272 single-season assists. He was a four-time All-PSAC selection who won three conference scoring titles. A three-time All-American, Beshore set eight school records and received the 1978 Cal Presidents Athletic Award.
After his collegiate days, Beshore enjoyed a professional basketball career in the NBA, CBA, WBL and overseas. His longest NBA stint was with the Chicago Bulls in 1979-80, when he played in 70 of the team's 82 games. In 1984 Beshore was a CBA All-League selection and helped the Wyoming Wildcatters reach the CBA finals.
Originally from New Cumberland, PA, and a graduate of Red Land High School, Beshore is a computer teacher and technology coordinator at Sanger High School in California, where he has also been the boy's head basketball coach for the past 10 seasons. Beshore and his wife, Debbie, reside in Fresno with their children, Jordan Lee and Julian Taylor
