Vulcans selected to NCAA Regionals

INDIANAPOLIS (April 23) – The California University of Pennsylvania men's golf team was selected to participate in 2010 NCAA Division II Regional Championship from May 3-5 at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W.Va.

The Regional Championship features 10 teams from both the Atlantic and East Regions, along with eight individuals from within the regions. The Vulcans were one of four teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) to be selected for the regional championships, while the league also featured a pair of individual qualifiers. The regional field features four teams that received conference automatic qualifiers (AQ), including two in the Atlantic Region.

The top five teams along with the top two individuals not with a team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the National Championships at The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Ind., from May 18-21.

The Vulcans have posted eight top-five team finishes during the 2009-10 season, including a second-place effort at the PSAC Championships during the fall campaign.
