Myers set to compete at NCAA Championships

CALIFORNIA (March 9) – California University of Pennsylvania junior Brice Myers (Pittsburgh, Pa../McDowell) will be competing in the 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend in Albuquerque, N.M.

Myers enters the indoor championship as the fourth seed in the event after breaking his own school record with a time of 7.99 seconds this season. He is one of 12 hurdlers selected to compete at the NCAA Championships, beginning with the preliminary race on Friday, March 12, at 6:35 p.m. MST (8:35 p.m. EST). The final for the 60-meter hurdles is scheduled for the following day, Saturday, March 13, at 5:05 p.m. MST (7:05 p.m. EST).

This marks the second-straight season in which Myers has qualified for the NCAA Championships. Last season, the McDowell product finished third in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.12 seconds to earn All-America status.

Myers and defending-national champion Andrew McDowell of Abilene Christian are two of seven returning national qualifiers from last season. McDowell is seeded second in the preliminaries at 7.95 seconds, while Pittsburg State senior Jeremy Jackson is the top seed at 7.91 seconds.
