Ryan Sharbaugh enters his second season with the California University of Pennsylvania men’s basketball program as a graduate assistant after coaching four years at the scholastic level.

Sharbaugh previously coached three years at Wilmington Area High School, his alma mater, in New Wilmington, Pa., and one season at the Summit Academy in Herman, Pa.

He graduated from Westminster (Pa.) in 2008 with a degree in psychology and received his master’s degree in Sport Management from Cal U. He is currently pursuing a second master’s degree from Cal U in school counseling.

Sharbaugh is a grandson of former Vulcan basketball standout Sebastian “Sibby” LoNigro, who was inducted into the Cal U Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008. As a senior, LoNigro averaged over 20 points and 12 rebounds en route to earning Associated Press (AP) All-Pennsylvania Honorable Mention.
